Challenges and solutions for comprehensive straw management

We cordially invite you to the technical session on “Challenges and solutions for comprehensive straw management” which will be organized by German Agribusiness Alliance at OAV and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), together with The Energy Resource Institute (TERI) and DLG, and with the support of the Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture.

The session will focus on agricultural practices and technological solutions minimizing residues, emphasizing the existing alternatives to stubble burning, discussing effects on soil fertility and introducing the current discussion on the use of straw as biomass and feed. Representatives of leading German and Indian companies and research institutions will give practical examples. We are very glad to welcome Mr. Ulrich Lossie as a speaker and expert to the event. He is Head of the Department for Agricultural Technology, Horticulture and Bioenergy at the German Training Center for Agricultural Engineering (DEULA-Nienburg). In his function he is responsible for the conceptual development and organization of seminars, consulting and training of professional farmers as well as training for employees of international enterprises for agricultural machinery production. His professional competence particularly focusses on the areas of tillage, fertilization, plant protection and tractor technics. Parallel to this, Mr. Ulrich Lossie is Managing Director of a biogas unit, a professional farm and an agricultural service company.

The technical session will be followed by an evening reception, presenting the DLG-Field Days India.
