Industry Round Table
An OAV Young Leaders Initiative
The OAV Young Leaders Industry Round Table provides a closed platform for cross-sectoral discussion of current and future opportunities and challenges of industrial companies with relations in the Asia-Pacific region. The aim is to promote exchange between all interested OAV Young Leaders, to expand their own network and to share experiences and ideas from their daily business in Asia.
The aim is to meet regularly with industry representatives, executives and renowned representatives from the industry to exchange ideas and engage in direct dialogue across companies and industries.
The OAV YL Industry Round Table thrives on the commitment of each individual and encourages our members to be active and spontaneous.
Patrick Schwindeler
My name is Patrick Schwindeler, 32, and I work as an assistant to the management at the HUEHOCO GROUP Holding based in Wuppertal. Our company is active in the field of coil coating and I have the great pleasure of dealing, among others, with the markets in China and India. I hope to be able to exchange views on these exciting markets with many more members of the OAV and I am pleased to be able to help organise the Industry Round Table in order to facilitate this exchange.
Christoph Haberkorn
Christoph Haberkorn has been active in the OAV Young Leaders network since 2020 and took on the role of regional spokesman for the Rhine-Main area in 2022. As Director Strategic Projects, he is currently responsible for M&A projects in the Health Care business unit of Evonik. Previously, he worked for Siemens and BASF and has spent several years in Asia, mainly in China, Vietnam, and Singapore.
Benjamin Schalke
In his role as Director Intl. Partnering & Sourcing at the Ingelheim-based company Midas Pharma, Ben Schalke is responsible for the Asian business partners. In 2007, he obtained his Master's degree in China Studies, Japan Studies and Business Administration from the University of Frankfurt and spent more than two years in East Asia. Over a period of about 10 years he has been active in various commercial functions in the pharmaceutical industry and aims to establish many new contacts through the Industry Round Table.
