Expression of Interest – Invitation for Pre-qualification

The ongoing project “Power Factor Improvement and Smart Grid under Dhaka Power Development Company (DPDC) Dhaka, Bangladesh”, co-financed through a EUR 100 million loan by Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and a EUR 12 million grant by the European Union (EU), aims at equipping the existing grid with reliable, cutting-edge new technology, allowing DPDC to optimize energy distribution.

Under this project, DPDC has received co-funding from the EU and AFD for the “Construction and Augmentation of Substation, Installation of Capacitor Bank and Introduction of Smart Grid in Power System” Project. DPDC intends to use part of the funds for selection of an international consultancy firm for the sub-package “Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning Work of Smart Grid System in DPDC Area on Pilot Basis” and inviting interested companies to express their interest to participate in the bidding process.
