Sourcing in Sri Lanka - Virtual Briefing (May 2021) and Business Trip (November 2021)

As one of the region’s most vibrant export hubs, Sri Lanka offers a wide range of products from different kind of sectors. Sri Lanka is known for its sustainable and ethically manufactured apparel and textiles of high quality. A large number of renowned brands from Europe and the US are sourcing their products here, especially in the area of sportswear, lingerie, workwear and swimwear. Agricultural products make up a large share of the exports as well. The famous Ceylon tea is cultivated in Sri Lanka. Rubber and rubber-based products as well as coconut-based products such as the virgin coconut oil can be sourced in Sri Lanka.
To demonstrate German companies promising sourcing opportunities in Sri Lanka in the field of apparel, rubber and agricultural products, the OAV – German Asia-Pacific Business Association, in cooperation with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka, is organizing a business initiative comprising of a webinar and individual consulting sessions in May 2021, as well as a business trip to Colombo with integrated B2B meetings and site visits in November 2021:
- 1st Part: Virtual Briefing including Individual Consultation (6th – 7th May 2021)
- 2nd Part: Business Delegation to Colombo with pre-arranged B2B meetings and site visits (22nd – 24th November 2021)
Registration / Participation Fee
A participation fee of 500 Euros will be charged for the Virtual Briefing including Individual Consultation. The Business Trip fee is 2,000 Euros (AHK members or 2,500 Euros (non members). When participating in both events the participation fee for the Virtual Briefing will be settled.
