Seminar on Business and Investment Opportunities in Malaysia as Gateway to ASEAN

The new Malaysian Government, elected on 9 May 2018, continues to emphasise Malaysia’s stable and business friendly environment to attract capital and technology injection into the economy and welcomes collaboration from foreign investors to work with Malaysian companies. Malaysia is one of the most diversified economies in the world providing the right balance to the economy as the gateway to ASEAN.

The Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia together with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) is organising a seminar on Business and Investment Opportunities in Malaysia as Gateway to ASEAN. This seminar, which is supported by OAV among others, is in conjunction with the trade and investment mission to Europe led by the Secretary General of MITI together with federal, state government officials and members representing the business community.

All German companies are welcome, especially those in industries such as Electrical & Electronics, Machinery & Equipment, Chemicals, Life Sciences and Transport Equipment.

The forum intends to update on the latest economic situation and highlights investment opportunities and potential business cooperation between Germany and Malaysia.

The event will provide a platform to discuss on:

•Latest update on government policies, incentives, facilities and support services available to support Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Malaysia

•Business and Investment Opportunities in Malaysia as a gateway to ASEAN.

•Business matching session with Malaysian business delegation

•Provide a forum for the German business community to network with the Malaysian business community and government agencies
