We kindly invite you to the fifth session of our OAV Young Leaders Finance Round Table, titled "Investing in Sustainable Transitions - A Public Equity Perspective" and scheduled for Tuesday, 28 February 2023 from 11:00 to 12:00 CET.

This session's key note speech will be given by Bixuan XU, Lead Manager in Royal London Global Equity Transitions strategy, a public equity strategy that invests in companies that are making a material contribution to sustainable development.

As regulators, asset owners and investors increasingly take the view that the financial market can step up its effort to shift more finance into climate transition and a broader sustainability agenda, this development also creates pressure and opportunity for companies to upper their game in sustainability strategy. In this talk Bixuan seeks to shed some light on:

•    50 shades of “green”: What does sustainability mean?
•    Pushing for green: What do different regulators ask?
•    Sustainable transitions: How do we find opportunities in public market?

Before joining Royal London in 2021, Bixuan spent seven years at Allianz Global Investor’s UK Branch, in global equity as well as central sustainability function. Fluent in German, Mandarin, and English, she considers herself a global citizen and feels very fortunate to work in the conjecture of investment and sustainability which inarguably requires global collaboration and effort. She is a CFA Charter holder, holds BSc in Mathematics from Ludwig Maximilian University Munich and MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from London School of Economics.
