Cross-Border Personal Data Transfers from China: Practical Tips for Multinationals

The PRC Personal Information Protection Law, effective from 1 November 2021, introduced crucial requirements for cross-border data transfers. The Measures for the Standard Contract for Outbound Transfer of Personal Information, effective on 1 June 2023, explained the statutory requirements on Standard Contract, which is expected to become the most widely adopted approach for the legitimate outbound transfer of personal information. Our webinar will shed light on these obligations and give guidance on fulfilling the statutory requirements.

During the webinar, data protection experts from CMS, China, will share their knowledge and expertise on the legal framework for cross-border transfer of personal information in China. They will address specific scenarios, including cross-border transfers in business activities and HR management as well as the framework of signing standard contracts provided by the national cyberspace authority.
