As of 1 January 2022, the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) has implemented new approval regulations for food imports from third countries for all foods (Decree No. 248 & 249). Questions concerning the newly introduced official registration platform as well as further uncertainties related to the new regulations have been addressed to OAV recently. We would therefore like to provide our members with an opportunity to exchange on this issue as well as gather and bundle your open questions and comments on the new regulations.
We kindly invite you to our first China Update in 2022 on Regulatory changes to the import of food and drinks to China on 26 January 2022. Two experts on certification and legal issues, Ms. Lea Quadflieg, Consultant at MPR China Certification in Frankfurt and Mr. Zheng Shengming, Consultant at Burkardt & Partner Rechtsanwälte in Shanghai will give a brief overview on the recent developments as well as their latest experience. Both will then be available for an open discussion in which you can address your questions and comments. We are looking forward to an open exchange. The event will be held in English.
